FZ28 and a full moon day

Last month the full moon day fall on the weekend. So I have a chance to try my new camera FZ28.
I found it a bit difficult to control in manual focus mode and it is not sharp enough to adjust the focus into infinity to the moon.
Therefore, I turn the camera into auto focus mode which take quite sometimes. FZ28 has slow focus anyway in my opinion.
However, below is the outcome.
I never see this kind of texture with my own eye but FZ28 can.

Nano just turn 5 years old. We have 2 celebrations for him.
First at P’ Iew’s Vietnam restaurant and second at my mom’s place.
Both Nano and Geno enjoy blow the candles very much.
Especially, Geno, he will always cry and request to lit up the candles again for second chance blow.
I’m quite busy and never have a time to select any gift for Nano on his birthday.
Yesterday, I told him that I will bring him to The Mall and he can select any gift that he want for one piece.
He seems to have something he wish in his mind and I guess I know it.
He directs to model car section and pick one without hesitation.
I try to bring him to another section for his second thought but at the end he still select the first one that he picked.
It was the model of super car Lamborghini, he came back home with smile on his face.
I tried to select the metal model because he usually play hard and always demolish his car.
Anyway, I happy that he love it the most among all gifts he got and hope this car will be with him for long.

เปลี่ยนมุมมองธุรกิจด้วยการเรียน International Marketing

ผมพึ่งได้เรียน International Marketing Management จาก MBA class มา
ผมไม่รู้ว่าคนอื่นได้อะไรจาก class นี้บ้าง แต่ที่แน่ๆ มันเปลี่ยนมุมมองในการทำธุรกิจของผม
จากที่เมื่อก่อนอยากที่จะมีธุรกิจเล็กๆเป็นของตัวเอง โรงงานเล็กๆ หรือแม้กระทั่ง retail franchaise เล็กๆ
Dr. Aaron อดิตนักธุรกิจชาวสิงคโปร ได้ให้แง่คิดที่เปลี่ยนมุมมองของผมดังนี้
1) อย่าคิดการเล็กเพราะเราเป็นเพียง 0.05% ของคนทั้งประเทศที่มีความรู้ในการ run ธุรกิจอย่างถูกต้อง
MBA สอนให้เราคิดอย่างรอบคอบ และมีโอกาสล้มเหลวน้อยกว่าผู้ประกอบการอื่นๆ
2) การเปิดร้านเล็กๆ ปล่อยให้เป็นหน้าที่ของคนที่ไม่ได้เรียนมาดีกว่า หรือจะทำเป็น hobby business ก็ได้ แต่ต้องไม่ run เอง ใช้ manage เอา
3) ความยากที่สุดในการทำธุรกิจ คือการก้าวออกมาจาก comfort zone เพราะทุกคนกลัวความเสี่ยง แต่ถ้าจะเสี่ยงแล้ว เราเป็นคนที่มีโอกาสสำเร็จมากกว่าคนอื่น
จงใช้วิชาที่เรียนมา เพื่อคิดให้รอบคอบ ทุกแง่มุม ก็จะสามารถป้องกันความเสี่ยงได้แล้ว มันยากแค่ก้าวแรกเท่านั้น เมื่อก้าวออกมาแล้ว แรงผลักดันจะช่วยให้สำเร็จเอง
4) International business เป็นธุรกิจที่เริ่มง่ายที่สุด โดยเฉพาะการนำสินค้าจากต่างประเทศมาทำตลาดในประเทศ เพราะเรารู้จักประเทศไทยดีกว่าชาวต่างชาติ
ไม่ว่าจะเป็นแง่ของ วัฒนธรรม การเมือง life style ความต้องการ เศรษฐกิจ และ trend ของผู้บริโภค
5) ต่างชาติไม่กล้าเปิดตลาดเพราะขาดความเข้าใจในประเทศไทย ไม่รู้จะเริ่มอย่างไร วิธีที่ดีที่สุดคือการมองหาสินค้าจากต่างประเทศ และ match กับความต้องการในประเทศ
mix & match consumer demand คิดหา business model ของตัวเองที่มีความแตกต่างและยากที่จะลอกเลียนแบบ
6) เริ่มเปิดเกมส์รุกก่อน โดยเข้าพบผู้ประกอบการที่เราสนใจ และขอเป็นตัวแทนในการทำตลาดในประเทศ หรือภาคพื้นทวีป
7) หาตัวแทนจำหน่ายในประเทศจัดจำหน่ายสินค้าแทนเรา เราต้องทำการบริหาร business model และการขยายตลาดเท่านั้น (Think big)
8) การจะก้าวออกจาก comfort zone ใช่ว่าอยากจะก้าวออก ก็ก้าว ต้องมีความเหมาะสมทั้ง timing & opportunities ด้วย จึงจะสำเร็จได้
มันเป็นบทเรียนที่มีคุณค่ามากจริงๆสำหรับผม พอกันที่กับการเปิดร้าน franchise เล็กๆที่อย่างมากก็ได้แค่เพียง ไม่กี่แสนต่อเดือนถ้าธุรกิจดีมากๆ แต่ต้องเสียเวลาดูแลมันทั้งชีวิต
หรือขยายสาขา อย่างมากก็ได้ไม่กี่สาขา เพราะต้องมีคนที่ไว้ใจได้ในการบริหารร้าน ยิ่งสมัยนี้ การทำธุรกิจข้ามชาตินั้นง่ายมากๆ เพียงแค่มีเวปไซด์หน้าตาสวยๆ น่าเชื่อถือ ก็สามารถเป็นเจ้าของธุรกิจได้แล้ว ซึ่งมี business model อย่าง drop ship มาคอยแก้ปัญหาเรื่อง logistic ให้ยิ่ง start up ธุรกิจได้ง่ายยิ่งขึ้น เพียงแค่เลือกหาสินค้าที่มีจุดขายแตกต่างจากเจ้าอื่นๆ บวกกับความกล้าที่จะออกจาก comfort zone ตัวเอง แค่นี้ก็รุ่งได้

ผมเป็นคนขี้เกียจ แต่มีความฝันอันยิ่งใหญ่ที่จะเป็นอิสระทางการเงินให้ได้ตอนอายุ 55
ผมวางแผน ว่าจะให้เงินทำงานแทนได้อย่างไรจึงจะสำเร็จผลโดยไม่ต้องเหนื่อย
ในที่สุดก็ได้วิธีที่เหมาะกับตัวเองคือ การใช้หลักของดอกเบี้ยทบต้น และการลงทุนในกองทุนรวม
หลักการมีอยู่ง่ายๆ ด้วยกฏของเลข 72 ของดอกเบี้ยทบต้น ไปหาอ่านเอาละกัน โดยสรุป

เงินออมหรือลงทุนจะกลายเป็น 2 เท่า ในกี่ปี ด้วยการเอาเลข 72 ตั้งแล้วหารด้วยอัตราดอกเบี้ยต่อปีนั่นเอง

72 / อัตราผลตอบแทนต่อปี (%) หมายความว่าอย่างไร?
เช่นถ้ามีเงิน 1ล้าน แล้วอยากให้กลายเป็น 2 ล้าน ด้วยดอกเบี้ยทบต้นอย่างเดียวอย่างสม่ำเสมอจะต้องใช้เวลากี่ปี? ถ้าเราฝากประจำได้ดอกเบี้ย 2% ต่อปีก็จะต้องใช้เวลา 72/2 = 36ปี
เอาเป็นว่าถ้าผมสามารถบริหารพอร์ทการลงทุนของผมโดยไม่ใส่เงินลงทุนเพิ่มเลย ผมมีเงินเติบโตตามจำนวนที่ตั้งใจไว้โดยให้ผลตอบแทนไม่ต่ำกว่า 13% ต่อปีไปเรื่อยๆ 72/13 = 5.5ปี แต่ในความเป็นจริงการบริหารพอร์ทให้ได้ผลตอบแทน 13% ต่อปีทุกๆปีเป็นเรื่องที่ยากมากสำหรับผม หรือคนส่วนใหญ่

How important of Know How???

Company send me to test TOEIC in order to measure my English skill.
This project has been run up first time in 2006.
I have no problem with this test since I beleive that it should be fine with me if I can understand foreigner speaking English and I also can write project proposal in English. So I didn’t prepare myself and take the exam with confident.
For the listening part, I mark the answer without hesitate.
For the reading part, I read message sentence by sentence and read the group of questions and answer it one by one easily.
However, time’s never wait. Time’s up and I didn’t complete 40 questions on reading part!!
The result score in 2006 is 430 on listening part and 255 in reading part. Luckily, the minimum standard for my company is 650 but I got total score at 685.
This year, my company send me to test TOEIC again. This time I know already what is the pattern of the exam.
I just plan my testing strategy before going to the examination without reading or preparing, just planning how I will approaching the exam.
My strategy is to read the question and answer before the listening question part be started.
I do the same approach on the reading part, looking at the question and answers. Then searching for the answer from reading message.
This time I can complete all the questions before time.
The result score in 2009 is 480 on listening part and 405 in reading part. My total score is 885.
I gain additional 200 marks because of I Know How to approach the exam.
Stragegic Thinking

When you cannot catch up with world speed.

Last Sunday, I have been asked to taking care my grand mom.
It is easy job, just sit with her, talk with her and find something for her to eat when she hungry.
I think I would be nice if I bring many DVDs and watching together with her.
I’m enjoy my movies but she seems to be lost in space. She found that it is not fun and keep looking outside the door waiting for familiar faces to come back.
She keeps looking and asking questions from time to time when they gonna back.
Anyway, I can draw her interest by asking her telling her story and let her flash back to her impression events in the past.
At last, my brother comes back from his concert around 8:30pm at night and I ask her to take shower and go for sleep.
Then I walk back home.
When I walk back I keep thinking what can attract her attention and what can entertain her from boredom feeling.
She doesn’t seems fun when she watch movie because the story now is too complicate for her to understand.
She will not enjoy playing game or listening to music because both of these activities need to involve with high tech device which too complicated for her.
She will not appreciate with my experience sharing that I shared to her because she cannot catch up with lifestyle.
She cannot cook which she can do best since she doesn’t strong enough to shop at wet market for ingredients and her eyes are not as good as before.
All of the above cause from missing to catch up with the speed of the world.
I feel depress when thinking of her and looking back to myself and my wife.
These situation may haunted me when I’m getting old. It does not a joke. Although, I’m working in IT field. It doesn’t guarantee that I can catch up with the world speed in the future. Who know? In the future at my grand son generation, they may control all devices with bio-electric sensors which need to learn from school or all instructions, user manual coding in genetic 4th based language.
The only way to survive is to catch up with the speed of the world. I think I can if I try. But my wife, I quite worried. If I die before her, she will fall in the the same cycle with my grand mom.
